We recently did the karaoke and disco at the Dog Inn, Whalley as part of the Whalley Live Festival was a great atmosphere and people very friendly and helpful was a pleasure to be there and looking forward to coming back in august.

I am a retired gentleman, originally from East Lancashire, and my wife Kath and I divide our time between homes in Scotland and Spain. We spent the long Jubilee weekend with family and friends in Oswaldtwistle, but found ourselves making a few visits to Whalley to take in the Whalley Live festivities. I have always had a soft spot for Whalley and so was delighted to see the village packed with both locals and visitors like myself. There was a terrific family atmosphere throughout the place and the the variety of music catered for all tastes. However, a special mention must go to The Dog Inn where, on Tuesday, our party washed down first-class barbecue fayre with some truly excellent beers! For a couple of hours on Tuesday afternoon, we just didn't want to be anywhere else on the planet - the place stands for everything good about the great British pub!

Whalley villagers should be very proud of themselves, and I am sure your regulars consider themselves lucky to have such a wonderful local!

We look forward to returning to The Dog on our next visit to the area.

Congratulations what a superb event Whalley staged, we all spent the majority of the time in The Dog Inn especially for the Soul Night and Karaoke Night and I like the video of you singing, nice to see the Land Lady getting involved.

Well done to all concerned, how much money did you raise for Cystic Fibrosis?

I just wanted to email and say what a great weekend me and my friends had in The Dog Inn - photographs and videos on your website are a lovely reminder of a great weekend.

We came on holiday to the Ribble Valley last Wednesday Night from Ireland and spent most of our time at all your music events and jubilee party yesterday, I will definately recommend your pub to anyone that comes to the Ribble Valley in future, we even got up and sang at the karaoke night.

I was chatting with a few of locals who said you, Norman and Margaret had booked/organised - well done on your hard work and success.

Hoepfully we will be at your Open Mic Night tomorrow night, what time does it start?

Hi Christine, Norman & Mags

Just a quick message to say a very big thank-you for inviting us to play The Dog Inn at Whalley Live ! Music Festival. Everyone in the band thoroughly enjoyed playing the gig to a packed audience. Really great atmosphere and the gig was a pleasure to play.

We also popped down on Tuesday to the Jubilee Day celebrations and really enjoyed the couple of hours we spent there. Loved the cakes - they're now on my hips!

Hope to see you again soon

Very best wishes
Phil, Laura and Junction 31
